Silvestras Dziaukstas was born in Mikalavas homestead, Švenčionys Region, Lithuania, on 03 January 1928. He graduated from the Arts Institute with a degree in Painting in 1954. The artist has been participating in exhibitions from 1957. During 1962-1972, Dziaukstas was giving lectures on painting and composition in the Arts Institute. His paintings have been displayed in the exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. The first personal exhibition was arranged in the Lithuanian Arts Museum in 1978.
