"A true disciple of his epoch". This is how Justinas Vienožinskis, a famous painter, subtle connoisseur of art, a teacher and a discriminating critic, described Antanas Gudaitis in 1932. Now these words have become highly meaningful and can offer a clue to the understanding of the artist's achievement. The style of Antanas Gudaitis has been constantly subject to change and renewal.
